Ranju Ki Betiyaan actors share their favourite Eid memories

Eid memories

Mumbai, 13th May 2021: With Eid being celebrated tomorrow, actors from Dangal TV’s show Ranju Ki Betiyaan pour their hearts out on how they have celebrated Eid during non-covid times. The actors share their fondest memories of Eid with their friends and families.

Jeevansh Chadha aka Vicky says, “Talking about my favourite Eid Memory, takes me back to my school days when once, I along with my best friends, Denniis, Mayank and Harjas went out together to celebrate the occasion, all decked up in a pathani, perfectly ready for a photoshoot kind of feel, clicked like a lot of pictures. Later, we had our favourite meals together particularly (Biryani) and celebrated the festival in all its real essence. We had a ball. Indeed they were Good Old Days. I wish if those days could come back because the real essence of life for me is to live life to its fullest.”

Karan Khandelwal aka Lucky says, “I grew up in an area in Kerala where a lot of Muslims reside. Every year on the day of Eid, when my friends would gather to do their morning prayers, I would accompany them. Born in a family that didn’t discriminate among religions, I used to offer my prayers in my own way after which I used to go around doing the typical Eid Mubarak hugs. While initially people were skeptical and even I was a little awkward, it later became a ritual for me and everyone accepted me too. And then during festivals like Diwali, my friends would come and celebrate with me. One of the best things for me on the day of Eid was the Falooda. Even though in the last few years I couldn’t go back home to celebrate Eid with them, they made sure to send that Falooda to my place somehow. I really miss celebrating Eid at home.”

Deepshikha Nagpal aka Lalita Mishra says, “Eid for me as well as my children is always at Ayub’s (Khan) house. All my memories are attached to him. He used to throw lovely Eid parties at his place. But unfortunately, for 3 years we are unable to have one. If we were on set, we’d celebrate together. But this year we might be wishing Eid Mubarak virtually. I will miss the delicious delicacies biryani, seviyan, etc.”

Amitt K Singh aka Rajveer says, ‘It’s my yearly ritual to visit my best friend and enjoy delicious food prepared by his family and celebrate. Relishing the authentic mouth-watering food prepared during Eid is my favourite memory of every Eid.”

We wish everyone, Eid Mubarak!
