The new show is going to start on Star Plus from 16 November 2020, titled “Imlie”, which will air at 8:30 pm.
The new show Imlie, produced by The Four Lions Films, features Gashmeer Mahajani, Sumbul Touqeer and Mayuri Prabhakar Deshmukh in the lead roles.
Looking at the promo of the show, it looks like there will be a love triangle, Imlie’s story will be different from other love stories. Recently Star Plus has shared 2 promos from its Instagram account.
An Englishman goes to the village, where he has a girl called tamarind. The journalists consider him illiterate, and then one day he is staying in a false room to escape the water due to heavy rain, and at the same time, looking for Imlie, the family comes with the villagers, the villagers misunderstand them and get both the Journalist and Imlie married, as mentioned in the promo.
Gashmeer Mahajani is playing the role of a journalist, and Sumbul Touqeer Khan will be seen in Imlie’s character.
Gashmeer Mahajani, son of Marathi film actor Ravindra Mahajani, has also worked in Marathi cinema, Gashmeer Mahajani has worked in hit Marathi films given by Kairi Maratha, The Dool Band and a super hit film Bonus. Gashmeer has also seen his acting in Ashutosh Gowariker’s film Panipat.
Sumbul Touqeer, playing the lead character of Imlie, has also appeared in the Sony TV show Chandragupta Maurya, in addition to the TV show, he played a small role in the film Article 15.
