Very soon you will get to see a documentary film on the life of Bollywood’s most popular couple Salim-Javed. Actor Salman Khan has partnered with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani-owned Excel Entertainment and Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti-owned Tiger Baby Films to produce a documentary on film writers Salim Khan and Javid Akhtar. Titled Angry Young Men, the documentary will be directed by Namrata Rao, editor of films like Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Fan.
Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar are one of the most famous writer duo of Hindi film industry. A few days back, it was reported that filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, daughter of Javed Akhtar, is working on making a documentary on the life of writer duo Salim-Javed. Salim Khan has also confirmed that a documentary is in the making with Zoya working on it for the past two months.
This is the first time Salman will be working with Akhtar. As the Salim Khan-Javed Akhtar documentary got its title, Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar will play a major behind the scenes.
Salim, Khan’s father and Javed, Farhan and Zoya’s father, had scripted success in the 1970s with several films including Zanjeer, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Deewar, Trishul, Don, Dostana as well as the all-time blockbuster Sholay.
